Promise Heights

The University of Maryland, Baltimore has partnered with community-based non-profits and faith-based organizations to improve the educational, health, and development outcomes of children from birth to young adulthood in the West Baltimore neighborhood of Upton/Druid Heights. This partnership, Promise Heights, is led by the School of Social Work and has created a pipeline of wraparound services that begins with prenatal care and continues through grade eight. This cradle-to-career pipeline seeks to surround children and families with a holistic set of supports that enable them to succeed at home, in school, and in the community.

Your generous donation of:

  • $25 purchases two new school uniforms for a Baltimore City Public School student.
  • $50 supports the establishment of a children's home library in Upton/Druid Heights.
  • $100 supports B'more for Healthy Babies in providing a family with diapers, blankets, and baby supplies.
  • $250 supports one family with children up to age 5 to attend Parent University.
